How to apply for Jobseeker's Pay-Related Benefit
Check you meet the conditions first — who can get Jobseeker's Pay-Related Benefit. Then use the official form below.
There is no single downloadable form for this one
Jobseeker's Pay-Related Benefit is applied for through MyWelfare or the office that handles it. Start from the official page below rather than a form.
What you will need
- Your PPS number.
- Proof of identity and, usually, proof of address.
- Any supporting documents the form names — medical reports, payslips or bank statements, depending on the payment.
- Details of your PRSI record are checked by the Department — you do not need to supply them yourself.
Where to send it
Jobseeker's Pay-Related Benefit is applied for online through MyWelfare, or in person at your local Intreo Centre. There is no central application address. Find your local Intreo Centre.
After you apply
- Processing takes time. If you are left without income while you wait, you can apply for Supplementary Welfare Allowance in the meantime.
- If you are refused, you can appeal — but you have only 60 days from the date on the decision letter.
- Tell the Department if your circumstances change, as it can affect what you are entitled to.
